What we do
Improvement and Efficiency West Midlands provides an extensive programme of support and capacity building for improvement and efficiency, and acts as a catalyst for collaborative working across all authorities and partnerships in the West Midlands.
The programme is essentially centred around three core objectives – improvement, efficiency and partnerships – all of which are underpinned by a strong focus on leadership and capacity building.
You can access information on our core themes here:
Working closely with the LGA and other sector support networks, IEWM provides a focus for SLI activities on behalf of all local authorities within the West Midlands.
IEWM works closely with WM ADASS and has a Joint Improvement Programme that provides support to councils in the region through a sector led approach.
IEWM & WM ADCS work together to deliver a Regional Improvement Plan and develop public services for children and young people.
Our role is to work on behalf of the sector to help stimulate and influence new thinking and innovation and encourage engagement in new ways of working.
We support public sector partners to work collaboratively to grow a broad level of knowledge and understanding around the strategic agenda, using, wherever possible, resources that are already out there.
We collaborate with health partners and local government services that have an impact on the health and wellbeing of residents across the region.
