Distribution Group Email Addresses

Posted on Thu, 25 Aug 2016 @ 13:42

IEWM want to make it as easy as possible for network members to communicate with one another, which is why they have set up Distribution Group emails. How do Distribution Group emails work? 1. Each network, group and forum has at least one Distribution Group email address. For example, Health & Wellbeing Officers Network 1 members can all be reached using one email address: hwbon1@westmidlandsiep.gov.uk2. 2. Some bigger networks have more than one Distribution Group email. Where this is the case 1 will be the Primary Contact(s), 2 will be the Representative(s) for Primary Contact(s), and 3 will be the PA/Administrative Support to Primary Contact(s). Any other will be listed labelled as O in the email address. 3. When sending emails using the Distribution Groups, 1 & 2 are entered into the To… field and 3 & O are usually entered into the Cc…  field for information What are the benefits of Distribution Group emails? Members can communicate easily with one another as there is only one email address for all individual members. IEWM maintains the contact list centrally on behalf of the West Midlands region, keeping them up-to-date so other users around the region don’t have to waste time checking Network membership lists locally. Distribution Group names remain the same, even if individuals within the network change. These Distribution Group email addresses can be shared and used by contacts outside of the organisation, as an individual’s personal email address details are hidden. It is really important that contact lists are kept up to date, so IEWM needs every network contact to help. Please advise Shelley Madley (smadley@westmidlandsiep.gov.uk) of any changes, (Leavers, New Starters, Change of Role, Change of Name, etc.) so that the Contact List and Distribution Groups are always completely up-to-date. IEWM Stocktake Paper and Consultation Paper – May 2016

Posted on Fri, 06 May 2016 @ 12:27

IEWM is currently consulting upon and considering options for the future delivery of the IEWM Programme, recognising both the challenges and opportunities for the Programme in the context of the substantially changing operating environment for the sector (devolution, health integration etc.). We are looking to explore and pursue options that could secure the future sustainability of the IEWM Programme (or elements of it), potentially to at least 2020 if the right solutions can be found. In doing so, we are seeking to explore a combination of options that would not only enable the ongoing sustainability of the IEWM programme but would also bring in valuable resources, capability, knowledge and capacity from a range of partners as we move forward. To help inform our future direction, we are keen to speak with as many of our stakeholders as possible and to test out the appetite of the sector and potential partners in respect of the potential options available. If you would like to find out more please read our consultation paper and if you are interested in speaking to a member of the IEWM team to let us have your views then please get in touch with SBanks@westmidlandsiep.gov.uk .
