Dissolution of Parliament - Committee Inquiry updates

With Parliament dissolving on 3rd May, Parliamentary Committees cease to exist and their ongoing inquiries are terminated. A number of Committees, however, have managed to publish their inquiry reports just ahead of dissolution. Of likely interest to local government are:

Among the recently announced Commons inquiries that have been prematurely brought to an end are those of the Health Committee into NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plans and the Women and Equalities Committee inquiry on Older People and Employment. In addition the joint House of Lords and House of Commons inquiry into Improving Air Quality has also closed.

Parliamentary Committees will be reconstituted after the General Election.
